No More Vegetables

Let us no longer refer to a living, breathing human as a "vegetable". Sometime long ago, it was discerned by scholars that all of God's creations fall into three categories: animal, vegetable and mineral. Scientifically, all humankind falls into the animal category, along with apes, worms and insects. The human animal was made in God's image and endowed with a soul. Attempting to devalue human life, some are wickedly labeling disabled or weaker humans as "vegetables". The Culture of Death classified Terri Schiavo as a "vegetable" and, by withdrawing water from her healthy body, they attempted to prove their classification to be valid. As happens with vegetation, when hydration is stopped, the plant shrivels and dies, and this indeed happened with Terri. However, although she was treated as a vegetable, she was a living breathing human soul until she succumbed to the laws of nature.

Cardinal Renato Martino, prefect for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace at the Vatican, spoke for Pope John Paul II, who has been unable to speak, about the death of Terri Schiavo: "It is nothing else but murder. It is a victory of the culture of death over life. This is not a natural death, it is an imposed death."

If you have not visited CodeBlueBlog, do so, as they have fine medical information on the details of Terri Schiavo's health problems. There are links to her CT scans and bone scans. The blog has even offered $100,000 challenges to all the neurologists involved in Terri Schiavo's case, and those who have made reviews on television and in newspapers, regarding the ability to single out PVS patients from functioning patients using CT scans.
