Obama Confuses Iraq War with Afghanistan

Which of these statements by Barack Obama is true? ANSWER: Neither! "We will be out of Afghanistan by the end of this year. Combat operations in Afghanistan have ended." --Commander-in-Chief Barack Obama

At about 21:39 in this YouTube video interview of 28 January 2011, President Obama declares, "As I said, we will be out of Afghanistan by the end of this year." Then he declares, "Combat operations in Afghanistan have ended." Neither of these statements is accurate. The Commander-in-Chief of American Forces confused Afghanistan with Iraq. Just imagine if President George W. Bush had made such a mistake. The American media would have beat him over the head as a stupid pawn of Dick Cheney, or worse. Instead, the press has almost entirely ignored Obama's ignorance.

IMAGINE Media Reaction -- If Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman had said such a thing, even though neither one of them is the leader of the Free World, as is Barack Obama.

Americans Rewrite Their Own History

Revolutionary War Image
President Andrew Jackson, seventh president of the United States, was NOT impeached. It was seventeenth President Andrew JOHNSON, who was impeached. Only two US Presidents have ever been impeached: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, and both were acquitted in the Senate. However, it is Revolutionary War soldier and War of 1812 hero, Andrew Jackson, who is now castigated as "impeached" and it cannot be corrected, as modern-day Americans have concluded that if President "Old Hickory" Jackson was not impeached, he should have been.

Andrew Jackson overcame an early life of adversity to triumph, becoming an American legend as both a warrior and a president. Although President Andrew Jackson was NEVER impeached, he was historically known for being:

• The first president born in a log cabin.
• The first president nominated by a political party.
• The first president to ride on a railroad train.
• The first president victimized by an assassination attempt.
• The only president to have been a prisoner of war.
• The last president who was a veteran of the Revolutonary War.

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik in CYA Mode

Duck, Cover, then Blame Sarah Palin -- Tucson Law Enforcement.

Pima County, Arizona Sheriff Clarence Dupnik is in full CYA mode as he shifts blame for his own malfeasance to Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, the Tea Party and any Conservative, Republican, Right-winger he can think of. If only the 75-year-old sheriff had stationed even one police officer at Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' Saturday open-air event in a public parking lot, if only there had been a a parked patrol car near the federal officeholder, perhaps a troublemaker like Jared Loughner would have been discouraged from proceeding.

"Indeed, Dupnik's deputies didn't arrive at the carnage scene until summoned by frantic 911 callers. By then, Pima County officers didn't even have to capture the suspected .... shooter, Jared Loughner. Several brave, unarmed crowd members had already subdued the man; good thing they did because the kid still had ammo for his 9-millimeter Glock semiautomatic." Heckuvajob Sheriff Dupnik!

Roger Ailes of Fox News said this of Jared Lee Loughner: "They knew about this guy. The education system knew about this guy...they kicked him out of school and told him until he gets a letter saying he’s not going to kill anybody, he can’t come back to school. The police department picked him up five times and let him go and nobody screened him for getting a weapon..."

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik Deserves Blame

"This isn't an unusual individual. There are hundreds just like him in our community." -- Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik speaking of 22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner.

What about an Arizona Sheriff who knows there is a lunatic pothead in his jurisdiction and he does zilch to prevent said demented wacko from purchasing a firearm? Then when the wacko buys a gun and massacres other citizens of said Sheriff's community, the Sheriff immediately places the blame on Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh, Republicans, Sarah Palin, all Conservatives and anyone else in opposition to the progressives' agenda.
They knew about this guy (Jared Lee Loughner). The education system knew about this guy...they kicked him out of school and told him until he gets a letter saying he’s not going to kill anybody, he can’t come back to school. The police department picked him up five times and let him go and nobody screened him for getting a weapon... -- Roger Ailes of Fox News.
Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik is far more guilty of contributing to the bloodshed, death and mayhem that occured on his watch, than anyone else in this country. Sheriff Clarence Dupnik deserves a nation's scorn for he was aware that 22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner was mentally unstable, and feared by fellow Arizonans who had come in contact with him, yet Sheriff Dupnik did nothing to keep him from obtaining the firearm and ammunition necessary to assassinate political leaders and kill and maim innocent Arizonans including a nine-year-old child.

This is what Sheriff Clarence Dupnip himself told Diane Sawyer of ABC News:
"I can tell you this is a somewhat dysfunctional family."

Many have reported that Loughner behaved bizarrely in his community college classes, some even going to school officials in fear of their safety.

"All I can tell you is that teachers and fellow students were concerned about his bizarre behavior in class to the point where some of him were physically afraid of him," Dupnik said. "He was acting in very weird fashion to the point where they had several incidents with him to the point where law enforcement at Pima College got involved and they decided to expel him. And they did."

Dupnik maintains that it was Loughner's own demons, not his state's relatively lenient gun control laws, that caused the tragedy on Saturday. "He could have purchased this gun in any state. It's not just Arizona," said Dupnik, who owns a gun. "There are too many people who have temper problems who have troubled personalities. This isn't an unusual individual. There are hundreds just like him in our community."

Dems Targeting Republicans with Gun Sights

Once upon a time there was a man from Chicago running for President who explained to a Philadephia audience how he planned to vanquish his Republican opponents: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” Remember? That was in June 2008. Now, just two and one half years later, this same man has the AUDACITY to blame others for using inflammatory speech and his lemming-like minions are right now blaming yesterday's assassinations in Tucson on Talk Radio, the Tea Party and Sarah Palin. Hypocrisy?
Obama Threatens Republican Opponents With a Gun.

DEMOCRAT NATIONAL TARGETING STRATEGY AGAINST THE ENEMY (REPUBLICANS)

Why are Liberals and the Media accusing Sarah Palin of being responsible for the assassinations yesterday because she used gun sights in political ads? Long before Sarah Palin came on the national scene, Democrats, including the Democrat Leadership Council, were using ads with gun sights to target Republicans. The Media never said one word against them. DLC Gun Sights Ads Against Republican Candidates

I know it is hard to believe after all the outrage at big game hunter Sarah Palin's use of gun sights, but the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) website also used gun bullseyes to target Republicans they were planning to defeat. Afterwards, the leader of that same DCCC rushed on MSNBC to denounce Sarah Palin for doing what he had already done. It is too precious. DCCC Bullseye Map

Here is another example of Democrats using Gun Sights targeting their Republican opponents, this time J. D. Hayworth of Arizona:
Gun Sight Ad against Republicans (Facebook Link). Here is the YouTube version: AZ Republic Endorses Harry Mitchell.

And Democrats have even targeted Democrats with Gun Sights for not being Liberal enough. In fact, in June 2008, the Liberal blog Daily KOS put a bullseye on Representative Giffords herself, because she was a Blue Dog Democrat (Conservative). DAILY KOS Bullseye on Gabrielle Giffords Two days before the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords the "lovely" Daily KOS made a post about her entitled DAILY KOS - "My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!". Immediately after the assassination attempt on Giffords' life, Daily KOS removed those posts from its site and began blaming Sarah Palin for the carnage in Arizona which was actually committed by a Leftist, anti-God pothead.
One veteran Democratic operative, who blames overheated rhetoric for the shooting, said President Barack Obama should carefully but forcefully do what his predecessor did. “They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers,” said the Democrat. “Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.” Another Democratic strategist said the similarity is that Tucson and Oklahoma City both “take place in a climate of bitter and virulent rhetoric against the government and Democrats.Politico
If history is prologue, expect a big speech from Obama (State of the Union?). Five days after the April 1995 Oklahoma City bombings, Bill Clinton delivered a speech in Minneapolis blaming conservative commentators with “loud and angry voices” who he said “spread hate” and “leave the impression ... by their very words, that violence is acceptable.
At the same time, Clinton political advisers privately embraced a ghoulish reality: The tragedy had been good for the president’s standing. Dick Morris, then Clinton’s top consultant, wrote the president a memo shortly after the bombing about how to maximize the advantage: “A. Temporary gain: boost in ratings. B. More permanent gain: Improvements in character/personality attributes—remedies weakness, incompetence, ineffectiveness found in recent poll. C. Permanent possible gain: sets up Extremist Issue vs. Republicans.Politico

Happy Parent One Day?

Democrat President Woodrow Wilson made Mother's Day an official holiday in the U.S. That name will now be changed to either "Parent One Day" or "Parent Two Day." Which one, I am not sure. Or will the Libs combine Father's Day and Mother's Day into a Genderless Day so we can all be Happy Libs and not offend any genderless Moms and Dads anywhere. HAPPY PARENT ONE & PARENT TWO DAY! Or will America regain it's sanity?
The words “mother” and “father” will be removed from U.S. passport applications and replaced with gender neutral terminology, the State Department says. "The words in the old form were ‘mother’ and ‘father,’” said Brenda Sprague, deputy assistant Secretary of State for Passport Services. "They are now ‘parent one’ and ‘parent two.’" A statement on the State Department website noted: “These improvements are being made to provide a gender neutral description of a child’s parents and in recognition of different types of families.

How Can We Respect Our Politiicans?

How in Heaven's name can we respect our Washington politicians when we see our community organizer President Obama, bid farewell to his press secretary by lamenting the paltry salary we the taxpayers forced him to slave for -- $172,000. The average American family gets by on one-third of what they were taxed to provide to Robert Gibbs. The President who has proclaimed that no American should garner more than $200,000 in yearly pay, describes the government pay of his aide as "modest?" It is the Audacity of Obama, so get over it and tax the $200,000 rich, not the "relatively modest" $172,000 ordinary pay.
In bidding a sort-of farewell to White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, he noted the "relatively modest pay" for which Gibbs has labored. In fact, he earns $172,200 in a nation where the average family income hovers around $55,000, unemployment is high, record foreclosures persist and wages for most folks are at best stagnant. The Atlantic Monthly
People who were once willing to work for the wages of political public servants, leave their elected or appointed positions behind and go off to demand $50,000 to $75,000 for a one-hour appearance regaling Americans with the anecdotes of what they had learned on the taxpayers' dime.

During the Clinton administration, Hillary's loyal friend Lanny Davis was brought in as an official aide to the President. From that so-called modest salary of three to four times what the average American family earns, Lanny Davis was able to enhance his family's income with gigs assisting unseemly clients like third-world strongmen, bringing in another $100,000-a-month. Another Clinton appointee, Rahm Emanuel, was rewarded with a $16 million fortune in just one year after trading his government service position for "helping" the  private market.

We need to be reminded now that we have a new crop of Tea Party legislators arriving in Washington of the following truism.
So it's natural to labor hard in government, see what goes on a few blocks away and feel entitled to same. People who came to town to change the world, and fight for the working guy, wind up thinking that a salary that would be a king's ransom to most of their constituents is chicken feed. It's partly because they inevitably contrast themselves not with others in government, or cushier locales in the nonprofit world, but with the mightiest denizens of corporate America.
