United Church of Christ Slander

The United Church of Christ has been advertising on liberal blog sites with a Flash commercial entitled "God Is Still Speaking" featuring a byline that states "Sadly, NBC & CBS choose not to air our ad of inclusiveness". I know not the reasoning for rejection by those television networks, however, the church should be grateful, as the commercial is about the most repugnant I have ever seen created by a Christian organization. The United Church of Christ, in the guise of attempting to trumpet their own inclusiveness, are actually using the ad to portray other Christian churches as intolerant. This is certainly a slander to all the other Christian churches in the United States who do not employ gatekeepers and bouncers at their Sunday services. The United Church of Christ should be ashamed to characterized other Christian organizations in such a false manner. It is not a Christian tradition to build up one's self, by tearing down others.

Jesus spoke thus to his followers:

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matthew 7:3-5
