Although everyone in Washington knew her status, she managed to keep the White House completely in the dark. Her spymastering skills were honed extremely well when it came to keeping CIA secrets from the Bush administration. Of course that was very necessary for her and "Mr. Valerie Plame" to plot against them. And all paid for by the American taxpayers. Frog-marching anyone?
John Solomon of the AP is reporting, 2 hours ago at Yahoo News: "Chief presidential adviser Karl Rove testified to a grand jury that he talked with two journalists before they divulged the identity of an undercover CIA officer but that he originally learned about the operative from the news media and not government sources, according to a person briefed on the testimony. The person, who works in the legal profession and spoke only on condition of anonymity because of grand jury secrecy, told The Associated Press that Rove testified last year that he remembers specifically being told by columnist Robert Novak that Valerie Plame, the wife of a harsh Iraq war critic, worked for the CIA."Who was the journalist leaker? "There is speculation that Judith Miller is protecting herself. Could she have been the source of the leak about Valerie Plame's CIA status that made it to several Bush administration officials and to Robert Novak and reporter Matthew Cooper. Judith Miller had done reporting on WMD (weapons of mass destruction) which she based on secret CIA sources. Valerie Plame, wife of Joseph Wilson, worked on WMD for the CIA. Put two and two together. Judith Miller, good reporter, likely knew who Plame was."Now wait and watch. Karl Rove's lawyer says that Rove learned from a journalist that the wife of Joseph Wilson was an employee of the CIA. Rove was puzzled that the CIA would send Joseph Wilson, a man with no experience in WMD, on a fact-finding trip to Africa.
