Get Government Out of Our Bedrooms

There is a way around this overbearing legislating of the Supreme Court Nine. Individual States should get out of the marriage business. "Get the government out of our bedrooms" as some used to rail. Lawyers can draw up marital contracts; DNA tests can prove paternity; women of today have jobs and can support themselves; and when all that fails there is government largess (the Welfare State) for all. For those who believe in the sanctity of marriage and marriage as a religious sacrament, there is their church that can marry them according to that church's rites. Elizabeth Scalia wrote it this way:

Governments issue death certificates; churches pray the funerals. Governments issue divorces; Churches annul. That should perhaps change, and soon. Let the government certify and the churches sanctify according to their rites and sacraments.”

Ritual Sacrifice at Silicon Valley

The following is a comment by Donald Conroy on 2 April 2014, before the ritual sacrifice by Mozilla of its CEO Brendan Eich. It was published at the blog, "First Things."

There is a difference between being against gay people and being against gay marriage. Marriage is a word that the government borrowed from religion. People who have traditional views have a problem with the idea that the religious word "marriage" might be redefined. I have been saying for years that the federal government should stop recognizing marriage altogether, and provide civil unions according to whatever definition the federal government wishes. Marriage should belong to churches, and their freedom of religion will permit them to choose whether to change or maintain the definition of the word. Since I believe marriage (Holy Matrimony) is a sacrament, I would have donated to Prop. 8 if I had the cash to spare. I have gay friends who are aware of my point of view on this subject. I have a transgendered friend who is aware of my point of view on this subject. To repeat: there is a difference between being against gay people and being against gay marriage. I am only against gay marriage. The word "homophobe" does not apply to me, and didn't apply to me when I first encountered the word back in the 90s.

GLEICHSCHALTUNG is translated to English as "forcible coordination."

Gleichschaltung has historically been utilized to bring about adherence to specific doctrines and beliefs and to coordinate the lives of a nation's citizenry. "Forcible Coordination" is now successfully underway in America with the ascendency of Abortion on Demand, Gun Control and Homosexual Marriage. Those Americans who do not accept the Government's stance are cast out as Haters, Homophobes, Racists, Bigots, Anti-woman. Religious and cultural institutions in disagreement with the government's goals will be destroyed.

In the next few years expect to see Forcible Coordination implemented to coerce Americans to accept the harvesting of eggs and sperm from aborted fetuses as a loving concept to provide children for same-sex couples unable to naturally conceive and enjoy families. Citizens and Churches expressing revulsion at the creation of babies whose mothers were never born, will, once again, be labeled Haters, Bigots, Anti-gay, Anti-child, etcetera.

PAST IS PROLOGUE - From 1933 to 1937, Germany implemented Gleichschaltung to successfully eliminate all organizations that could potentially influence people against National Socialism, including trade unions and political parties. Critics of the German government's agenda were suppressed, intimidated or murdered. Influence of the churches was assailed with establishment of the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs. Organizations that the government could not eliminate, such as the education system, came under government's direct control. Hello Gleichschaltung. Welcome Totalitarianism.

Get Government Out of the Bedroom

Gay people should just go marry themselves! Instead, they stand about hurling vulgar and pornographic epithets at states like Maine and California, while attempting to ridicule voters in a democracy because they refuse to vote as Gays and Lesbians demand.

Get Government out of the marriage business. Leave marriage to those who are really interested in it, the Gays and the Church. Leave partnerships to the lawyers. And leave the solving of questions as to who is responsible for the support of children to science and DNA.
