The Obama "Suck It Up"
'I can't suck it up with a straw,' President Obama said of Gulf oil spill - New York Post. But ... the President has not the least bit of trouble sucking up a "Bushwacker" on the Gulf Coast. Is there a message here?

Little White Obama Lies
The facts are that Barack Hussein Obama, Senior, father of President Barack Hussein Obama, Junior, was born in Kenya on April 4, 1936, which means he was serving as a soldier in World War II between the ages of four and nine, whilst also living in Kenya. Later Obama clarified that he was in fact speaking of an uncle. But which uncle? His American mother had no brothers. To be magnanimous, one could posit that Candidate Obama was confused and actually was speaking of his White grandfather who raised him and who indeed served during World War Two. However, Barack Obama wrote an entire book about his Kenyan-born father Barack Obama, Senior ("Dreams From My Father"), but wrote nothing of substance about his mother and grandparents who in fact raised him, so it is doubtful he would have misspoke.
Again, Candidate Obama, speaking from the pulpit of an historic black church in Selma, Alabama, told the heart-warming story of his parents meeting: "There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Junior was born. So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama." Obama's Selma "It's All About Me" Speech
It is just a bit of trivia that no one cares about, but ... in case you didn't notice, the Edmund Pettis Bridge incident Barack Obama was referencing occurred four years after President Obama's birth on August 4, 1961. By 1965, President Obama's polygamous Kenyan father, Barack Obama Senior, had already divorced (March 20, 1964) the President's American mother and taken up with another American woman.

The Alien in the White House
"We wanted something thoroughly and uncompromisingly foreign ... " wrote Mark Twain.
The American people elected an Alien to serve as the leader of their nation. Obama lives in the White House but his focus is not upon the nation that elected him. Instead, he views himself as a leader of the world community from which he originates, not America, where he ended up. Perhaps Americans will learn a lesson - always elect a Homeboy (or Home Gal) as your leader. Elect someone who grew up amongst you and understands your distinct American values, not a mysterious figure who suddenly appears on the scene proclaiming himself to be "The First African-American" this and that. I thought Bill Clinton had already been awarded title to being the First African-American President anyway, by African-Americans themselves.
"We wanted something thoroughly and uncompromisingly foreign — foreign from top to bottom — foreign from centre to circumference — foreign inside and outside and all around — nothing any where about it to dilute its foreignness — nothing to remind us of any other people or any other land under the sun. And lo! ... we have found it." Was Mark Twain prophesying the American Electorate of 2008, and its choice of Barack Obama as President, when he wrote "The Innocents Abroad?"Why was one of Barack Obama's first reforms in the White House to get rid of Winston Churchill? The bust of Winston Churchill was a gift to the American people from Tony Blair. Barack Obama mysteriously sent it packing - back off to the Britain from when it came. It would seem that Barack Obama would have found kinship with the British leader who was half American on his mother's side, as was Obama also. The Winston Churchill of history admired America and shared America's values. To Barack Obama, Winston Churchill's American-British heritage was alien, and he banished the great leader from the American people's house with no second thoughts raised in his conscience.
The American people elected an Alien to serve as the leader of their nation. Obama lives in the White House but his focus is not upon the nation that elected him. I thought Bill Clinton had already been awarded title to being the First African-American President anyway, by African-Americans themselves.
A great part of America now understands that this president's sense of identification lies elsewhere, and is in profound ways unlike theirs. He is hard put to sound convincingly like the leader of the nation, because he is, at heart and by instinct, the voice mainly of his ideological class. He is the alien in the White House, a matter having nothing to do with delusions about his birthplace cherished by the demented fringe. The Alien in the White House by Dorothy Rabinowitz

Hitchens Unhitched
"To be honest, the most idealistic and brave and committed and intelligent young people I know have joined the armed forces and they're now guarding us while we sleep in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere. I would never have expected that would be what I'd say about the students that I have to teach." ~~Christopher Hitchens, June 8, 2010, to Jon Stewart. However, in the 1960s, when young American soldiers were bleeding and dying in Vietnam to save the Free World from the evils of Communism, Christopher Hitchens joined forces against them. He was then showing his anger over the Vietnam War by throwing brickbats from the political left, and accusing the United States of nuclear proliferation, racism and "oligarchy," including capitalism.
Communism, Marxism and all the other Isms that were the scourge of the last century espoused creeds that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of millions of humans. The spirits and dreams of at least that many more men, women and children were crushed and destroyed by the jack-booted thuggery of the followers of the Isms. During the Vietnam era, while some Americans were putting their lives on the line to save their fellow humans, Christopher Hitchens and his ilk chose to ridicule and diminish the selflessness of those who took a stand against human enslavement. Somehow, under the leadership of a true Cold Warrior, Ronald Reagan, we who fought against Communism won that battle. Afterwards, we discovered that the Communists of the twentieth century made the Nazis (six million jews murdered) look like pikers, as the followers of Lenin and Marx did not limit their victims to Jews, but destroyed every race, religion, belief, that sought freedom.
Yes, under the leadership of Ronald Reagan, we thought we ran the Communists out of the Free World. We were wrong and unprepared for what happened next. While Americans were captivated by the sordid details of a Presidential blue dress, jumping up and down with joy at the election of the first black President, the Communists returned with a vengeance. They took over the universities, the minds of the dumbed-down electorate, and now the government whilst the aging Freedom Fighters were inattentive. VOILA -- We are all Communists now. But ... careful, don't say the forbidden word "Communism," as you will be horrifically ridiculed, à la the Saul Alinsky playbook.
