Little White Obama Lies

The facts are that Barack Hussein Obama, Senior, father of President Barack Hussein Obama, Junior, was born in Kenya on April 4, 1936, which means he was serving as a soldier in World War II between the ages of four and nine, whilst also living in Kenya. Later Obama clarified that he was in fact speaking of an uncle. But which uncle? His American mother had no brothers. To be magnanimous, one could posit that Candidate Obama was confused and actually was speaking of his White grandfather who raised him and who indeed served during World War Two. However, Barack Obama wrote an entire book about his Kenyan-born father Barack Obama, Senior ("Dreams From My Father"), but wrote nothing of substance about his mother and grandparents who in fact raised him, so it is doubtful he would have misspoke.

Again, Candidate Obama, speaking from the pulpit of an historic black church in Selma, Alabama, told the heart-warming story of his parents meeting: "There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Junior was born. So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama." Obama's Selma "It's All About Me" Speech

It is just a bit of trivia that no one cares about, but ... in case you didn't notice, the Edmund Pettis Bridge incident Barack Obama was referencing occurred four years after President Obama's birth on August 4, 1961. By 1965, President Obama's polygamous Kenyan father, Barack Obama Senior, had already divorced (March 20, 1964) the President's American mother and taken up with another American woman.
